The LWF is one of the founding members of ACT Alliance, which brings together over 130 churches and church-related organizations working in development, humanitarian assistance, and advocacy.

The alliance provides the ecumenical movement with structures to mobilize rapidly in response to disasters – and to improve collaboration on development and advocacy issues.

The LWF is often a leading ACT member on the ground in emergency and humanitarian response, and helps provide leadership through the ACT governance.

LWF/DWS Mozambique is one of the leading members of  the ACT Mozambique Forum, set up in November 2002 to coordinate ACT member agency responses to emergencies in the country.

ACT members include the following:

• Ecumenical Committee for Social Development (CEDES)

• Presbyterian Church of Mozambique (IPM)

• Christian Council of Mozambique (CCM)

• Christian Aid

• Church World Service

The LWF Mozambique has been a pillar of the ACT Forum Mozambique and will continue and increase this commitment to strengthening of the ACT Forum Mozambique and the ACT Alliance network.
